TRANSPARENCY IN COVERAGE ACT/CONSOLIDATED APPROPRIATIONS ACTS

 

On July 1, 2022, Machine-Readable Files (MRF) were made available to the public disclosing detailed information on the costs of covered items and services. The Insured can go to the Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois website (BCBSIL.com - bottom of page a banner in red "New Federal Law Affects Health Insurance Plans") and review BCBS's In Network Negotiated Rates, Out of Network Historic Allowed Amounts and at a later date the Negotiated Drug Rates and their Historic Allowable Amounts.  Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois will update information throughout the year on the BCBS website.
